For over 20 years, The Center for Physical Medicine & Pain Management has specialized in the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of acute and chronic pain. The physicians at the Center for Physical Medicine & Pain Management are board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. They are specialists in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of conditions that interfere with an individual's ability to function. Known as physiatrists, the physicians have advanced medical training in treating pain due to illness or injury of the muscles, tendons, joints and ligaments. Two of the physicians are certified by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and are also licensed in Medical Acupuncture. Alongside the physicians are certified physician assistants and nurse practitioners as well as licensed physical therapists and physical therapy assistants. This team maintains ongoing communication during the duration of patient treatment. They encourage patients to actively participate in their own care by asking questions and keeping the providers informed about their progress. |
